GIBSON ES 347

1991. This is a discontinued version of ES 335. The most remarkable differences are its maple neck instead of mahogany and the ebony fingerboard instead of rosewood. The hardware is golden and a binding skirts the headstock as in the Custom. The tailpiece is a TP-6 with fine tuners that replaces the usual stop bar. Although in theory this model has the ceramic Dirty Fingers pickups with great output, in this particular case everything is different: very sweet sound and moderate output. It has a switch to leave them in single winding mode which offers a new field of possibilities. The top is a beautiful curly maple in Tobacco Sunburst. In short, it is a version with more luxurious finishes than the 335, in fact it is more like an ES-355 without the Varitone. A beautiful specimen!
